There are many advantages to the use of stepper electronics and motors in applications where they are suitable. Accuracy is just as good as with a servo system, at approximately half the cost for comparably powered systems.

A stepper system drives its motors in minute increments of two or three thousandths of an inch. The motors move to each successive position in perfect unison, according to the G-code file for the work being performed.

We provide everything you need other than brackets, gearing, etc., specific to your existing machine. Wherever possible, we try to retain your existing drive train.

If you can provide us with the approximate weight of the moving parts, and send us a digital photo of the entire machine, another of the motors and motor mounts, and a third showing the drive train, we can assist you in selecting a retrofit kit.

Stepper powered retrofit kits are available ranging from 135 to 1,080 oz. in. of torque and holding power.
